She joined the Territorial Army at the age of 27 and became the first female sergeant in 6/7 Queens Regiment. Further adventures followed including travelling across Canada from west to east, mostly by train, flying home form Halifax in Nova Scotia. Travelling to Australia for The Ashes Cricket and visiting New Zealand {both North and South Island] including a superb pillion ride an a large Harley Davidson motorbike! Following that she learnt to ride a motorbike at the age of 69.
Writing is a relatively new venture, born from an urge to write just to convince herself she could. Happily the first book was published and the second is due for publication early in the New Year. She decided to write a trilogy so another book to to complete this is planned for in 2024. She keeps very busy as all manner of crafts interest her, including water colour painting, patchwork and quilting, needlework, cross stich and knitting.
She is planning to return to the Isle Of Wight in 2024 to be nearer to her family.
